After I get married I know I am supposed to add a wedding band to my ring. I am not sure that I like the way that it looks. It it totally taboo not to where the wedding band? My fiance seems concerned that people will think I am eternally engaged. My mom says whatever makes me happy. I am not trying to make a statement by not wearing one, but I just think it makes my fingers look fat. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas. It seems like a silly concern, but hey....I just thought I would find out what people (other than my family) think.

I was the same way, I had just the engagement ring for about 6 years before wearing a band. You're still off the market either way you look at it, so I would do what feels best for you. Maybe get a band on your first anniversary, that way you can take your time searching for the perfect fit.

About your ring, with out the band lots of people with think you just engaged. You can get a really thing one, that is what I did for my wife and it was like 40.00 a few years ago. She like it, and it does make her finger look fat.
