Try varying the color -- if you are carrying ivory and your bridesmaids are carrying pink, make your groom's bout ivory and his groomsmens' pink. Let him stand out as much as you do!
Also, how can you make your maid of honor's bouquet different from those of your bridesmaids? You could make the maid of honor's bouquet slightly larger (say, 9 blooms instead of 6), or use a subtle color variation.
For example: if your colors are ivory, pink, green, and brown, and your bouquet is ivory,
If the bridesmaids are wearing brown and carrying pink with green ribbon,
The maid of honor could wear brown and carry: all pink with an ivory ribbon, or pink and ivory with a green ribbon -- a very subtle variation on the bridesmaids. Yet another option is to ask your florist to do a two-toned ribbon -- maybe ivory and green mixed together on the maid of honor's bouquet?
